Our Mission Audit
The Mission Audit was part of a Diocesan plan in 2007 for every parish to engage in a self audit with the aim of developing and implementing the parish mission. The process envisaged consultation with the church and local community.
How did St John's tackle the audit?
Two working groups were set up. The Church Group examined the needs of the church congregation and Community Group focused on the wider community.
What was the outcome?
The Church Group summarised the results of an anonymous questionnaire providing comments and suggestions on what could do better. The Community Group set up an intensive consultation programme involving some 60 individuals and families.
The Interim Report to the APM/APCM 2010 which details the recommendations, findings and synopsis of the Community Group Audit also illustrated the implementation status.
What is the situation now?
The Mission Audit Closure Report to the APM/APCM 2011
summarises the progress and achievements and identifies areas that could be addressed. Please see the links alongside to read the documents.
